The work is guided by restraint.

Wood is treated as a record of events rather than a neutral medium. Fire scars, voids, cracks, and asymmetry are not corrected but integrated. Intervention is limited to what is necessary for structural stability and clarity of form.

Function is present, but optional. A piece may be used, held, or displayed without hierarchy.
Value is placed on material honesty, durability, and evidence of time.
