the artist

I am a woodcarver from Transylvania, now living in the Yukon. My practice focuses on burls, driftwood, and salvaged wood sourced from northern landscapes.

Working primarily with hand tools and minimal power shaping, I am allowing each piece to develop from the material’s existing structure rather than forcing a predetermined form.

My work reflects long exposure to weather, fire, and growth irregularities – conditions common to boreal forests and coastal environments. The resulting objects sit between functional vessel and fine art wood sculpture.
